History

In years past, SPL had levy committees that existed for the duration of a single campaign. Despite asking for local funding since 1949, SPL has only successfully passed (and renewed) one levy.

This levy committee was formed in 2024 in advance of being on the 2024 fall ballot, but with the intent to exist in perpetuity for continuous fundraising for future campaigns. 

Due to state-level changes, Ohio libraries can no longer ask for a replacement levy.
